Melbourne is a town in Izard County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 1,673 at the 2000 census. The town is the county seat of Izard CountyGR6, and home to the main campus of Ozarka College.

The racial makeup of the town was 97.55% White, 0.36% Native American, 0.18% Asian, 0.42% from other races, and 1.49% from two or more races. 0.60% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
